AT least 70 buses bring priests daily to the venue of the Second National Congress of the Clergy in Manila.Transport companies have provided 70 buses, vans and 20-seater vehicles to ferry participants to the venue in the morning and back to their foster families in the evening. Fr. Tony Navarette, parish priest of San Juan Nepomuceno Parish and head of the transportation committee of the congress, also asked for help from the Department of Transportation and Communications to tap the services of bus companies. Transportation and Communications Undersecretary Thompson C. Lantion said Secretary Leandro R. Mendoza has instructed him and his staff to support the more than 5,500 priests who are attending the congress. |
