The Mary's Little Children Community is a communion or family of an association of the faithful and some institutes of consecrated life. Its members are the faithful of varying states of life namely, lay Missionaries, Sisters, Nuns, Brothers, Monks and Priests. The community exists according to the vision for which it is called into existence, namely: God glorified in Jesus Christ through the healing and renewal of his Priests and people. This constitutes our vision, which defines the aim or "Charism" of the community, has two-fold aspects, namely: A) Vertical aspect, that is a definite aspect if Jesus' relationship with his father, giving rise to the MLCC spirituality - to glorify God in the Sacred Liturgy and in charismatic praise and worship; and B) Horizontal aspect, that is, a special aspect of Jesus' relationship with mankind, manifested in the MLCC apostolate - to promote a more perfect Christian life and undertake by both hierarchic and charismatic gifts a ministry for deliverance, total healing, fullness of life and evangelization. Mission We commit ourselves in the disposition of Mary at Nazareth, Calvary and Upper Room to total renewal and transformation in Jesus Christ crucified and risen. We hope to attain this by living the Gospel of Christ and partaking of his Eucharistic Body in a community animated by the Holy Spirit and accomplishing it's work and prayer life in view of the healing mission of the father. History Its history began in the Archdiocese of Cebu, Philippines on the 6th January 1998, the feast of the Epiphany of our Lord, the foundation day, when Msgr. Frederick B. Kriekenbeek, its instrumental founder and first father moderator, accepted the commitment to ministry and to the community of some christian faithful led by its first Elders, namely: Sis. Corazon Melba N. Serafico, Fr. Samuel V. Galias and Fr. Roy Ronald D. Cabradilla. The Community was canonically erected as a public association of the Christian Faithful last 22nd August, 2003 by his Eminence Ricardo J. Cardinal, D.D., for the Archdiocese of Cebu. |
